OCSP error when accessing secure sites

OCSP error when accessing secure sites
Hi,

I don't know why I am not able to connect with any sites due to an error message "Error trying to validate certificate from (web site name) using OCSP - Server error". What should I do ??? How to remove this error ?

Re: OCSP error when accessing secure sites
OCSP error when accessing secure sites means it is not possible to determine if the certificate is still valid. A pass unconditional revocation checking (OCSP and CRLs when Firefox is specified) is necessary for displaying the padlock or EV indicator. OCSP error means that currently the leading indication loses lock, the only alternative would be to reject establishing the connection.

Re: OCSP error when accessing secure sites
The certificate contains an OCSP URL, that the server is offline, and may have been access from past few weeks or months and its not even possible to locate the DNS of the server. Non of the client currently treats all OCSP failures as a fatal errors, because of issues related with the OCSP responder stability. It means that such a server being offline for the long period and could mean that a fake or revoked certificate could slip through.

By default Mozilla Firefox is disabled, if you want to enabled the OCSP, go to Advanced options, then go to tools, click on options. Under Advanced. select Encryption / Certificates and click on Verification. If OCSP is enabled, you may receive errors visiting secure sites when the OCSP service chosen is malfunctioning or not available.
