Disappointed with RAGE gameplay
I have just overviewed the RAGE gameplay and I am really disappointed with RAGE as compare to fallout 3. I was expecting something like 35 to 40 hours and then many more if you did the side missions, and I was not even considering the endless hours of exploration. Look at Fallout 3, you can run through the main story line very quickly if you want and I can easily put in endless hours just to explore the desert. I end this post now because I know that I am everywhere.

Re: Disappointed with RAGE gameplay
Well, if you think Rage as an RPG, then you may be disappointed. But the anger is basically a first-person shooter with light RPG elements. It's more like BioShock (which has 13 to 15 hours of campaign) Fallout 3. And rage is supposed to be very focused experience. I've beaten Fallout 3 playthroughs three times and each took me about 50 hours. But I think I spent like 20 hours on just move from A to B (with an enemy is a few), 5 hours in conversation with NPCs, another 5 hours to collect and classify the inventory items. I'm not saying these are bad things, but the FPS game, you want faster, more focused on combat experience. And that's what id Software is doing with Rage.

Well, he said 15-18 hours, but I have come a long way from earlier estimates, although not really an RPG mode is not the scan, which can easily add time to the top of the gameplay from what we know he is talking about the quality control people within it 'would be running. I'm really not too worried about that ex quota should be 20 hours I took a little over 30 and I missed things, if only 18 hours which is a decent amount of time.

I understand it. 18 hours for a FPS is quite nice, but for some reason I thought it would be much more. It has some RPG elements. That's what made me think it may be higher. You can go exploring and probably spend hours doing that I'm sure. Perhaps it's just not much exploration as I expected. I'm a little confused because I hear it a fps, but then I heard that may be changing, collecting side quests and collect the leftovers. Anyway thanks for the input. In short, no matter what kind of game I think is going to be still going to be crazy.

Re: Disappointed with RAGE gameplay
This is a real first-person shooter, and goes back to the roots of 15-20 hours of gameplay. And I must say I am happy that this time is so I can get my money's worth. Also with 35-40 hours of play would be much and it bothers me, but that's my opinion. I like a good first person shooter in 15-20 hours and secondary missions, light RPG elements, and replayablilty that RAGE is assumed that all that this is the perfect game, but again, this is my opinion.

Re: Disappointed with RAGE gameplay
I know it's a fps, but I've read different articles, where the development is calling it an RPG style as well. The bottom line is I know I'm really going to love this game when I really like a game I like to put tons of hours on it. It does not matter anyway because I will be exploring a lot, so I do not call it a fps only. When developers say that "RPG elements" that excites me. I always put more hours in a game anyway. It took me 90 hours just to finish Dead Red Redemption and then I went to explore and easily put 100 hours. So when people say it is only one type of images per second that has confused me for all the times I've heard RPG, so for me that means it's kind of both. I guess when it comes to this, as I said before, I love this game and you want it to last long. Honestly, it's just my opinion but if you win this game is 20 hours or less going to be a bit annoying. But get over it.

Re: Disappointed with RAGE gameplay
Everyone saying it's only fps I have to say that not only is an fps. The only reason I think it's because the dev always speak of "RPG". I'm not sitting here thinking about this and that makes nothing. Even Gamefly says FPS, RPG. Sorry if I've been pointing in the wrong direction. After looking through the forums I see that many people are doing to the idea that this game is very long. I just want to be a game much good. I like very long games. I still bet you 40 hours in the game, which tend to make the games last a while. I will live if the game is only 15-20 hours long, surprising or not going to live.
