expect a High Resolution Textures for rage game
As the rage game is near to release I expect the game with big hopes that will really make a good impression for players. But the most important thing that I think the game should have high resolution textures that might add more fun for playing the game. Because in many games we see that game might be really good but they lack in good textures. So I have great expectation with this game specially in the high textures of the game.

Yes even I have great expectation for this game specially for the graphics because I had read in one of the article that they are launching the game for pc with high textures and hope they do.

I would say that what you have read might be nothing but a rubbish news bcoz these are just nothing but the marketing tactics for their games since I had already an experience about this kind of stuff in one of the game . so don’t go on words of their . And let me make onething clear about the article that they said it could be possible they could release a game working on small area but not the whole game.

Actually I agree with the articleof the carmack they are going to compressed the textures on PC too because the game was already huge, but they are releasing the uncompress textures at some point. I figure it won't be too long after release if they do release it since the textures already exist and have been implemented into the game.

Assuming the game of graphic textures Main game Virtual texture space is 11.4gig and MP Virtual texture space is 5.65gig so the total virtual texture space taken is 17.05gig. And lets assume you have the HDD space to store the extra content too, But then you also have to run it, and you will be paging huge files into memory, which means the old settings of the game used to run when doing such a task are now almost certainly way too slow. So when you get in game, more than likely the performance will bear deeply unless you reduce the frequency the Mega texture tiles update .
