All buttons of Internet Explorer 8 are disabled
I have installed the Internet Explorer 8 browser on my system recently but now it is causing a lot of troubles to me. whenever i try to open a web page with the internet explorer 8 browser the buttons back , forward , refresh stops working. For your information i am using a dell inspiron laptop installed with windows 7 I don't know why these buttons are disabled please tell me how to get rid of this problem.

Sounds like your system is infected by a virus or two, which is causing all the trouble to your browser. It would be better if you scan the system with an updated antivirus and delete all the threats detected by the antivirus. Your problem must get solved. or switch to some another browser like the Mozilla firefox and Opera etc.

I think that there is some kind of problem with your Internet Explorer 8 installation. please specify whether you have downloaded it from the microsoft or from some other website and also specify whether you have done a clean stall or you have upgraded from some lower Internet Explorer version. Till the time try a reinstall of the browser.

I too had the similar issues sometimes back with Internet explorer 8 and i tried a lot to get it back to work but nothing helped. In desperation i tried the steps mentioned below which really sorted my problem. i opened the browser then clicked Safety and deleted the browsing history. To my surprise my browser started working.

These problems arises sometimes when your system gets infected so try to detect all the threats present in your system and remove all the threats. If this does not fix the issue then create another user account with administrator privileges and log in with that user and verify whether your problem is solved or not as far as i know it will get solved.

It might be due to some problems with the security settings i think that reconfiguring it will help you to sort this problem. To determine whether an issue is caused by overly restrictive security settings, revert to default security settings. For this follow the steps which are mentioned below:

Open Internet Explorer.
Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
Click the Security tab.
Click Reset all zones to default level, and then click OK.

this will definitely solve this issue.
