Recently the Mozilla firefox is giving some unusual problems. Mozilla firefox cannot buffer online videos. Whenever the websites like Youtube are visited the Firefox shows that the video is being buffered but it stops after sometime. Also I am not able to download any videos using Mozilla firefox. I cant figure out what the problem is and hence need your help in solving the issue. Can this be a virus problem? Any help is highly appreciated.

Re: Mozilla Firefox cannot buffer online videos
Sometimes the online videos cannot be buffered due to slow internet speed. Are you sure that the broadband connection which you are using is working fine? Contact your Internet service provided and get the link which is providing the bandwidth because if the link itself is faulty then you will not get the bandwidth which you have signed up for. You can also check the performance of the connection by visiting the Websites like Speedtest and Pingtest. These websites provide online tests which can be performed on the link. After performing the tests the results are shown which depicts the performance of the link.

Re: Mozilla Firefox cannot buffer online videos
The videos which are available online are require the flash players to play them. The flash players are installed on the browser as an application. If the flash player on the browser is not up to date or not installed properly then the online videos will not be played or buffered properly. I would suggest that you uninstall the flash player from the browser and then install an updated version of the flash player on the browser. Once the version of the flash player is updated on the browser you will not face any problems while watching videos online.

Re: Mozilla Firefox cannot buffer online videos
Try using some other browser to buffer and watch the videos online. There are many browsers available online. Google chrome and Safari are among the browsers which have more or less same features as Mozilla Firefox. If the videos work properly in the other browser then there is something wrong with the Mozilla browser which you are using. If the videos do not work in other browsers then there is something wrong with Internet connectivity or with the network preferences of your system. Check the network preferences if the videos do not work in other browsers also.

Re: Mozilla Firefox cannot buffer online videos
There is a high possibility that the system is infected by some virus which is not allowing you to buffer or download any videos by using Mozilla firefox. Virus's have the tendency to link with the application which is used by the user frequently. If the Virus gets linked with such an application then application will not run properly. Hence scan the system and then see the infected files. Repair or quarantine the infected files. After repairing the infected files check if the browser is working fine. If the number of the infected files is more then you will have to install the browser again.

Re: Mozilla Firefox cannot buffer online videos
Many times the addons and 3rd party applications which are installed on the browser create problems while browsing. This happens because some of the addons and application corrupt the files of the browser. To check if the problem is due to the addons or application, use the safe mode in Mozilla Firefox. In safe mode all the add-ons and the applications are disabled which helps in diagnosis of the problem. To start the application in safe mode, Click on Start menu and select Program files. In program files, select Mozilla firefox and then select Mozilla Firefox Safe mode or you can type "firefox.exe/safemode". If the browser works fine in safe mode then find the application which is creating the problem and remove it from the system
