Possibility of playing Alan Wake in 16:9 aspect ratio in 4:3 aspect ratio monitor
The monitor of computer which I use is of Aspect Ratio 4:3. I played Alan Wake on that aspect ratio, but the graphics were not that satisfying as they look on monitor with aspect ratio of 16:9. Is there any way I can play the game in aspect ratio of 16:9 in monitor of aspect ratio of 4:3. When in aspect ratio 16:9, the game shouldn’t stretch or go out of the display area; it should be adjusted in cinemascope.

The monitors with aspect ratio 4:3 have resolutions of 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, 1280 x 960, 1400 x 1050 & 1600 x 1200. Monitors with resolution greater than this are rarely used. The monitors with aspect ratio have resolutions of 854 x 480, 1024 x 720and 1366 x 768. If your monitor of aspect ratio 4:3 supports resolution of aspect ratio 16:9, then it will work.

In the above mentioned case, the video may not fit properly in your display of monitor of aspect ratio 4:3. It might get out of screen or video might get stretched. The cinemascope mentioned in question won’t be available until game itself provides option for it.
