AMD Athlon X2 7000: first dual-core Kuma?

On the sidelines of the launch of the new Phenom II will start in 2009, AMD will launch the series Athlon X2 7000, three new processors based on the K10 architecture on which the older generation of Phenom.

The Athlon X2 Black Edition 7750, Athlon X2 7550 and Athlon X2 7450, respectively clocked at 2.7 GHz, 2.5 GHz and 2.4 GHz, are the first (and last?) Kuma dual-core 65-nm burned . They carry a total of 3 MB of cache, including 512 KB of cache second level by heart, the 2 MB of cache remaining third being shared. They appeal to the socket AM2 +, support for DDR2 memory up to 1066 MHz and have a TDP of 95 watts.

These processors, replacing the late former Athlon X2 series in 6000 (K8 architecture) being more efficient but slightly less energy efficient, should emerge in the coming days. Their prices are not yet known precisely but Ahtlon X2 7750 Black Edition is already available for pre-order with some dealers at a price for around $ 120.
