Google decided to abandon the six projects,

Google has decided to abandon several projects. The editor is a real breeding ground for testing new services, but some work better than others. We know that Google regularly launches beta versions which are then tested for at least several months. Some services, like Gmail, have been a real success, but it is not obvious to everyone else.

The publisher therefore abandoned six projects:
  • Google Video
  • Google Catalog Search
  • Google Notebook
  • Dodgeball
  • Jaiku
  • Google Mashup Editor

We understand that Google Video has stopped because the firm has bought YouTube, whose health itself. Google Catalog Search has given rise thereafter to Book Search, but again, the service has not had success. Catalog Search is also closed since yesterday.

Google Notebook, which allowed the taking of notes, will also close its doors, but not immediately. In a first time, users who have already recorded content can still access, but Google stops the active development of this service.
