JavaScript engine fast, much regretted that the software is developed
for the Windows system. However, last January we learned that the
versions for Mac OS X and Linux were being developed and should be
revealed in the first half of this year.
Last January, Brian Rakowski, Product management at Google, confirmed
this information and added that these versions were "not capable of
displaying web pages correctly. But it is still very rudimentary in
terms of user experience."
A few weeks ago, the first screenshot of the version for Mac OS X runs
on the Web and now we learn that the developers of the project
Chromium just to provide a pre-alpha version for Linux and more
specifically the Ubuntu system. Preliminary tests performed SunSpider
JavaScript, including by Tombuntu magazine, Chrome would be 4.7 times
faster than Firefox 3 and 2.9 times faster than Firefox 3.1 beta 3.
